Biography

Rafael Galindo was born in 1996 in Galveston, Texas. From a young age, Rafael would explore his creativity through writing short stories and making functional objects to utilize for past times. As an adolescent Rafael would accompany his father during the weekends as an assistant to help prepare contracted painting sites. In the year 2015, Rafael graduated from La Porte High School and focused on pursuing a degree in the field of Art and Design. Rafael attended San Jacinto College - Central for three years and transferred to University of Houston - Clear Lake in the Fall of 2018. Throughout the course of five years, Rafael has explored different techniques and mediums to demonstrate his ideas. In the Fall of 2022, Rafael held a collaborative exhibition at the University of Houston Artist Project Space. Rafael’s current work explores the relation of geometric shapes and textural forms in a collage sculptural approach. Rafael Graduated in the Fall of 2023 with a Bachelors of Fine Arts - Studio Concentration and aims on becoming a certified teacher.
